Seder Plate ("Order": Heb.) - is used during the Passover festival,
which is observed ro remind the Jews of the importance of sustaining the
fight for freedom. An overview to the aforesaid thus makes reference to
the commemoration of the Exodus - the deliverance of the Jewish people from
the bondage in Egypt (in the days of moses - about the thirteen century
BC). A Seder is a home service and meal celebrated on the first two nights
- normally the 15th and 16th of the month of Nisan to commence the festival
of Passover (Pesah) of the eight day holiday. The Seder Plate typically
has round indentations, or small bowls, each of which contains different
food.
